The Maker

Hello there, I’m Casey.

My ultimate goal as a maker is to stray away from mass production and maintain a sense of personality within each piece of work. It’s important to me that I can be felt within each creation; a connection from me to you. To be totally honest, I look at my work like little gifts that are just looking for their recipient. When I can provide that happiness (whether it be for business, comfort, or amusement), the smile I am given during that exchange is what drives me. I lied! My ultimate goal is happiness!

A bit about me…

I grew up in a household surrounded by antiques. My mother and grandfather were in liquidation, holding sales in large houses where I would frequently help out (mostly begging them for trinkets I would find here and there). Because of this exposure, I grew an extreme liking to the presurvation of history within design and execusion. The very idea that someone had the skillset to create something so grand or so simple, with such fairness, was what I dreamed I might one day achieve. I’d study the furniture, the hand-painted dishes, I even spent a whole year in college fighting with teachers about using the sewing machines. You know, just to prove I could make it with my own hands.

The truth is, I just want to make you smile. At the end of the day, if I can do that while utilizing my skillset, then I am happy. And that, is the ultimate goal.
